Make it, then try it

1. Cut and fold the card
Cut out the wide card on sheet 1. Fold it in half on the dashed line, with the pale pink front outside. The folded card is 90 x 130 mm.

2. Make an open pocket
Cut out the pocket and fold all three tabs to the BACK. Apply glue only to those tabs. Attach it low on the card front, aligning its lower edge with the faint guide. Leave the top open.

3. Write a hidden message
Cut out the flower message insert on sheet 2. Write a kind message on its lower lines or on the back. Let the pocket glue dry before sliding anything inside.

4. Slide in the flowers and give
Slide the insert into the pocket with the flowers facing out. The bouquet stays above the pocket. Write inside the card if you like, then give it to someone you choose.
Messages to hide in your flower card
This printable flower card combines a folded card, a front pocket and a pull-out bouquet insert. Write on the insert before placing it in the pocket, and use the blank inside for a longer message.
Write a specific thank-you
Choose one thing the recipient did for you. Start with ‘Thank you for…’ and add that real moment. Finish with how it made you feel. Put the short message on the insert and a drawing inside the card.
Make a small surprise invitation
Use the pull-out insert to invite someone to read, draw or take a walk with you. Put the suggested activity on the insert and the details inside. Choose something you can actually arrange together.
Turn it into a family keepsake
Ask each person to add one short word or small drawing inside the card. Write the occasion and date on the back. Keep the pocket insert to a single sheet so it can slide without packing the pocket full.
Questions before you make it
What is included in the flower pocket card template?
There are two making sheets and one illustrated guide. The printable parts form a folded card, a front pocket and a bouquet message insert. Both A4 and US Letter PDFs are included in the download pack.
Where should I glue the pocket?
Fold the narrow tabs at the sides and bottom and apply glue to those tabs. Attach the pocket to the card front with the top edge open. Do not spread glue across the inside of the pocket.
Why does the message insert get stuck?
Check that the pocket's top is open, the side tabs are folded cleanly, and no glue has spread inside. Let the glue dry before trying the insert. The insert is 10 mm narrower than the pocket panel, but smooth movement still needs a physical trial.
Can I use this as a Mother's Day or teacher thank-you card?
Yes. The card has no fixed occasion message, so you can write to a parent, teacher, friend or another recipient. Add the greeting yourself on the insert or inside the card.
Does the printable include an envelope?
No envelope is included. The card folds to approximately 90 × 130 mm. If you want an envelope, check the finished card and flower insert against one you already have before choosing how to give it.
Digital assembly illustrations. Physical assembly and use have not yet been tested.
