In this set

  • One flat character
  • Helmet, jacket, hose and badge

What you need

  • Printer paper and a backing sheet
  • Coloring pencils
  • Scissors; adult help with small accessories
  • Glue if you want to fix the pieces to the backing sheet

How to make it

  1. Print one paper size at 100% / Actual Size. Color the character, helmet, jacket, hose and badge before cutting.
  2. Ask an adult to help cut around the outer dashed outlines. Leave the solid picture details intact; these dashed paths are cuts, not folds.
  3. Arrange the character and accessories flat on a backing sheet to make your own rescue scene. Keep them loose for storytelling, or glue them down after choosing their positions.
  4. Let any glue dry. Tell a story about the scene, then keep loose pieces together in an envelope.
